Christmas time 2022 – we say »thank you« from the bottom of our hearts
2022 was also characterized by developments of all kinds – in terms of Corona many things have normalized and settled; at the same time, however, the attack on Ukraine with all its consequences created new challenges and concerns worldwide. Once again established circumstances were literally »turned upside down« and influenced personal, social and business life enormously – the consequences will accompany us all for a long time. That is why it is all the more important – especially in difficult times – to simply say thank you. We would like to thank our customers, suppliers and partners for the trustful and cooperative partnership – for all successful projects and for our common path. Thank you very much! Instead of Christmas presents for our loyal customers, we supported again a regional and social project in 2022.
Children are the future – that's why we support the association »Kinderheim Kleine Strolche e.V.«
The »Kleine Strolche« children's home is an independent child and youth welfare organization with locations in Lower Saxony and Bremen. It specializes mainly in taking infants and toddlers into care. In 2008, the »Kleine Strolche« children's home was founded in Asendorf – in the meantime, a total of around 70 places are available at several locations, where babies and infants taken into care can find peace, sibling groups can feel safe together, children with mental illnesses can find a family-analogous place to grow up or mothers can be accompanied together with their children. The »Kleine Strolche« children's home is also one of the few homes in Germany specializing in severely traumatized and medically challenging children. In 2018, the association »Kinderheim Kleine Strolche e.V.« was founded – also in 2018, the »Rittergut Ovelgönne« in Bücken was acquired and a therapy center for traumatized children was established. Today, nature- and animal-assisted, curative education and psychotherapeutic services are offered for the recovery of traumatized children.
In addition to the actual monetary donation in December, it was important to our Managing Director Stefan Rakers to also personally address this important – but also difficult – issue. As a father and family man he is particularly concerned that there are babies and children who are denied the »right to childhood« by their own family or other circumstances, says Stefan Rakers. Together with Elsbeth Benke (management assistant), Stefan Rakers therefore visited the »Kleine Strolche« children's home in Asendorf at the beginning of February and learned in detail about the important work that is done here. The »Kleine Strolche« team – consisting of specially trained social pedagogues, educators, children's nurses, midwives and curative pedagogues – gave touching insights into the »Kleine Strolche«'s everyday life and thanked HAGOLA for its generous support.
Explanations:
»Kleine Strolche« translates as »little rascals« and is a fond term for youngsters in Germany.
»Rittergut« (Ovelgönne) translates as »manor house« or »feudal estate« and is the name of an old estate located in Ovelgönne (name of the next town).
